The darkness of the soul,
in great need of Your light.
Self righteousness among us,
no realization of their plight.
Hearts so full of hatred,
so hard to comprehend.
Please pierce them with Your holiness,
bring darkness to an end.
Our world is deeply hurting,
dear Lord please hear my plea.
So much evil is among us,
blinded they cannot see.
The detriment they cause,
their eternity at stake.
Let them feel Your presence,
in Your joy their hearts awake.
